One of my favorite dishes growing up was sushi, as I was drawn towards the various components that were somehow rolled into such small bite-sized pieces: crunchy, sweet, tangy, and creamy ingredients all residing in a single bite.
As I transitioned into a raw vegan lifestyle, sushi became an unspoken meal in my personal menu as I viewed it as something I would not be able to consume based on my newly adopted beliefs. However, as a raw vegan for nearly a year I have developed a more creative approach to my food as I have began experimenting and raw vegan-“izing” my old favorite meals.
I hope this inspires you to break out of your comfort zone and experiment with your food! Fruits and vegetables don’t need to be boring, have fun with them and I encourage you to be creative.
